  • Grey finds my lost bag and again looses it!

I was travelling from Cincinnati to Atlanta on Sunday (oct 6). My baggage didnt arrive in Atlanta with me. Next day after calling many stations the bus stopped, finally it was located in Knoxville. The Knoxville guy sent it to La Grange, Georgia station the same day (oct 7)with my name (PRIYANKA BANERJEE) and final destination (LA Grange) on the 12:50pm bus from Knoxville to Atlanta. I was supposed to get the bag Tuesday morning (7:10am) in La Grange, but the bus left before I was in station. I have been checking on every bus coming to La Grange after that. I called and went to Atlanta... More...

  • Greyhound Bus Service, Langley BC to Kamloops BC

We bought two seniors tickets from Langley BC to Kamloops BC for the 10:30 a.m. bus. We arrived at the depot an hour early as requested, checked in and proceeded to wait for our bus. At 10:30 another bus arrived to pick up passengers travelling to the Okanagan and we were assured that our bus was right behind it and would be arriving within 10 minutes. By now there were about 25 people in line. At 11:15 we were told our bus was enroute and would arrive within 15 minutes. To make a long story short - a charter bus finally arrived at 1 p.m. - 2 1/2 hours late. There were no explanations... More...

  • Pretty Bad Experience

I took Greyhound Bus from Washington DC to Detroit and I will pay the extra money in the future to fly. The customer service is non existant and simple questions are answered with bad manners. I do not understand the reason the drivers make everyone leave the bus to "clean" it, there is no cleaning that is taking place. Everyone had to leave the bus in the middle of the night (about 1:00 am)and sit in a dirty terminal for 40 minutes while nothing happened. The drivers did enforce sound restrictions on cell phones, music and loud talking which was nice. I paid the extra $5 for... More...

  • lost/stole valuable stuff and passport

I took a greyhound bus from New York City to Washington DC at 08/20/2011. With me was a suitcase(dark gray, brand: diplomat, one lock on side), which contains my passport, a laptop and some cloth. After I arrived DC, the greyhound failed to find the suitcase on the bus. Also, another gentleman could not find his luggage, either. I described them what my suitcase look like and what are inside the suitcase. Staff in DC called Baltimore Greyhound, and Baltimore said they found the two luggages(mine and anohter guy's) and would send them to DC with tags saying... More...

  • Greyhound Bus

My daughter stood out in the rain in New York City with many other passengers waiting for a Greyhound Bus that never arrived. The pick-up time was eight o’clock at night and she arrived at seven. She was finally forced to leave at eleven thirty because the other passengers left and she was alone on the street. The pick-up location has no enclosed shelter just full exposure to the weather and everyone was caught in a rain storm. She tried contacting Greyhound through different numbers to determine if the bus was in an accident. Greyhound has no numbers to tell passengers if one of... More...

  • Imcompetent Service

Attempted travel on 7/28/11 from El Paso to Dallas, TX. Station personnel poorly trained to handle customers and bus drivers rude. Ticketing system doesn't seem to accomodate contract vendors selling tickets. Overflow of passengers dealt with poorly. At one point I felt that rude ticket agent was going to get physical with customer who voiced his concern about the situation. More...

  • El Paso To Dallas

I used to travel Greyhound a lot during my college days. Although not the lap of luxury it was a decent and inexpensive way to travel. I decided that since I didn't have any time constraints on a recent trip to Dallas that I would take the time to see the middle of Texas. I purchased my ticket online 2 days in advance. With a paid ticket and confirmation in hand I went to the assigned station, the Greyhound Station in Downtown El Paso, Tx, at the appointed time. Although I'm not afraid of local culture and ambiance what I saw did not inspire great confidence in this company.... More...

  • Better off with Megabus

I recently planned a tripped to Michigan from North Carolina. I went cheap and took Megabus. The Customer service was bad and my bus excessively late. I paid 100 dollars more for the same trip back with Greyhound and sadly Greyhound was no better. The bus I rode was old and filthy. Not like dirt on floor but the paneling all around the inside was dirty and just unappealing. There was no outlets or Wifi like I thought from advertising on sight. When I arrived to the station for a transfer they moved my bus time an hour ahead and did not notify me, would have missed bus if I hadn't... More...

  • Lost Baggage, Dirty and Uncomfortable, Rude Employees; Lying

This was a trip from Missoula, MT to Sweetwater, TX about a month ago. I got to the station 3 hours early so I could check my suitcase and walk around for a while since, as anyone knows, most of Greyhound's depots are too small with too little seating. Before getting on the bus I noticed my suitcase wasn't on the cart that the driver was using; I brought this up and talked to the counterperson, and she looked and it wasn't anywhere. Turns out it had got put on the *wrong* bus going west to Spokane rather than east going to the first transfer in Billings; apparently, someone... More...

  • Problems after problems

This company is really horrible. It has one of the worst client service I have ever seen. I went for a trip to NY and on my way back to Ottawa, we had to stop in Syracuse. Even if we left at the right time from NY, the schedule of Greyhound was not giving enought time for the passengers to change but so we ended up missing our bus. In fact, the bus had left 30 minutes before we arrived. After being told that there are only 2 buses leaving from Syracuse to Ottawa per WEEK, the pretty much told me they couln't do nothing. We ended up taking a taxi for over 400$. I have called... More...

  • BAD SERVICE

On April 20, I purchased a bus ticket for my sister to travel from Battle Creek, Michigan to Southfield, Michigan. First of all, I can not understand why Greyhound charges an $18 guest fee to the person paying for the ticket. What difference does this make! I was simply paying for someone's ticket, which happens all the time(e.g meals, airline tickets, clothes etc.) This is a big rip off, and apparently something Greyhound feels that they can get away with!!!! In addition to paying extra money for no known reason, my sister ended up sitting on the bus stairs for the entire three... More...

  • MY FIRST AND LAST TRIP ON GREYHOUND!

I had my first AND LAST travel on the Greyhound bus. When i was first going to my destenation we had 5 people and the bus was absaloutley full! So one of the persons had to sit on top of his mom for 2 hours! And we paid for ALL the seats! When we came back, things got even more terrible! First off,we were barley 2 hours into the trip and the bus broke down! We had to wait about 3 hours in the blazing hot sun! After that we arrived in portland were we had to make another stop were we waited 2 hours standing there with our lugage. Well it was our turn to show our tickets. My mother was... More...

  • Atrocious

This company is a travesty of a business. Customer service is non-existent throughout all levels of this horrid company. I had to threaten to call the police because they were going to kick my non-18 year old son out of the station at 2am in the morning because they caused him to miss his transfer and they were closing for the night. Being threatened with the law (after several conversations with the attendants trying to resolve the problem previously) was the only thing that caused them to reconsider their actions because they then managed to put him on the last bus out that crossed paths... I think customer service should be a priority in any business. I worried about him all night, also the people waiting for him in cinninati, ohio. I could not reach anyone in knoxville, tenn. The customer service line was always busy. Customer service in any company is not busy 24/7. There is a reason he was on the 8:30am bus, that would only change once. More...

  • Terrible Travel, Customer Servie

Grey hound states enjoyable travel for everyone. Yet thatis only true for lip service. Geryhoundsbus sations are usually the most disgusting places to touchdown from traveling, on not the most comfortabel buses. The maintenance of a bus as far as air conditioning or mechanichal is extremely imporant, yet the bus I took air conditioning went out and the bus broke down. Another bus did not pick us up until 6 hous later, not to mention that my bus was already 2 hours late. And the \n as we went on the trip continued to become more and more agitating. The only comfort if you call that... More...
